Burglar rummages through SUV at funeral home, finds bodies

LAKE WORTH — Of all the cars to break into, a burglar picked the big black sport utility vehicle parked at a funeral home.

But that's not the strange part. The culprit not only went through the glove compartment, but he unzipped two body bags — with dead bodies still inside them, police said.

Sometime during the dark hours of Monday night and Tuesday morning, a car burglar looking for unlocked treasures found a briefcase, laptop and two dead bodies in a Chevrolet Suburban parked at Emmanuel Funeral Home on 110 S. Dixie Highway, police said.

The burglar took off with the valuables including some credit cards and a $90 shaver. He rummaged through personal belongings of the deceased, but did not appear to take any of those.

The burglar did not seem to disturb the bodies, though it's likely they disturbed him.

Wasn't there a big scandal just a few years ago with some friends of Bush that liked to mishandle dead bodies? I wonder if this is the same company?
