Woman shot at Florida business

POMPANO BEACH, Florida (AP) -- A man walked into an appliance company and shot a woman several times Friday, then fled, leaving the victim in critical condition, authorities said.

The gunman may have been a former employee at Florida Builder Appliances, but the motive for the shooting wasn't known, Broward County sheriff's spokesman Hugh Graf said.

Deputies found the suspect's car outside a nearby grocery store and charged at the vehicle pointing guns, sheriff's spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion said.

But officers opening its doors and trunk found it was empty.

The victim was shot more than once and was in critical condition, city spokeswoman Sandra King said.

What is it about men with their separation issues anyway?
I must of read a half a dozen of these stories in the last couple of months. In FL, my homestate, it's almost epidemic.
It's the old "if I can't have her, no one can".
Sad and very sick.
Is this a generational (post-boomer) phenomenon?
