Moved here 4 years ago. You're right, most of the time the weather is great (except for July & August) but it's rea;;y tough being a Democrat here.

There are some, but, heck, even our Dem. Senator Zell Miller isn't a Dem.

Because of this, you'll love the DU site. At least you can come here shen you wnat to talk to somebody, or rant about something crazy that happened that day.

Not too many of us around. Certainly not many of us who are also liberal Democrats, but my husband and I are both. Georgia is great except in late summer and election season. Ugh! I hate that my presidential vote never seems to count.

But that awful pirate flag is gonna have to go. You are now in Falcons country :) I am not new to GA, been here for 27 years ( I am 32). It really does amaze me how much there is to do around Atlanta. Every weekend, there is something for just about any taste. It was asked by another poster, I am in the outer burbs, Covington to be specific. The summers can be a little rough, but since spring and fall are so great, I will take the kinda hot July/August. Plus, don't get the sub-arctic winters that the north does...Kevin.

Hi there. Vetwife here. I am a native but a liberal. I am constantly driving these folks crazy here in Ga. What with a Take it Back Get out the Vote Cd, and belitting Katherine Harris on CNN, and winning the C-Span contest, and appearing on Guy James, and starting a Vets oganization and calling in on the talk shows, and writing the papers.. They just hate me, but we are gonna Take This country Back one piece of the elephant at a time !
Glad you are here and hope your bring more liberals down here so we can even up this red state !
