Remember GA voters - buy your booze today for election parties
Just sent my husband to the liquor store. Don't want to have to wait until after 7 pm tomorrow to buy party supplies!

This state can be so completely ass-backwards sometimes.

No, I think the liquor stores will be open tomorrow. I think our friend doni_georgia was just expressing her excitement over Kerry's victory tomorrow. I happen to agree with her.

See Laelths Election Projection for the full, number-crunching scoop!

:D

:dem:

Kerry on!

P.S. ... on the other hand, this is Georgia we're talking about. Perhaps you can't buy liquor until the polls close.

Edit:Laelth--decided to express some doubt.

4. Holy Crap...I wouldn't be surprised...
If you couldn't buy booze during open polls.

Oy! Good thing we stocked up on the Single Malt this weekend, eh?

6. Maybe it's just my county and the ones around here, but election
days here are treated like a Sunday. No liquor can be sold one hour before the polls open until one hour after they close.

5. Not in GA.
Alcohol sales are not allowed here on election day until the polls close. We stocked up good last night, so we are set for our election night party.

7. I've got Champagne chilling in the fridge as we speak...
the irony is that I had gotten it last year for my birthday, which is Nov 1st, and I just never got around to celbrating with it. Now it's here for tonight - a nice 2003 vintage. woohoo.
