What's the frequency, Dan? A 'Buckhead' sendoff for the anchor

When Dan Rather signs off as anchor for CBS News tonight, a group will gather at the home of Cary and Kimberley Ichter to see him off.

Don't expect any tears.

The guest of honor at the affair will be Harry McDougald, a.k.a "Buckhead," the Atlanta attorney and conservative blogger who was the first to raise questions about the authenticity of the documents which Rather and CBS used to raise questions about George W. Bush's service in the National Guard.

MacDougald's post on a conservative Web site questioning whether the typefaces on the document were in use during the period in question touched off the controversy which ultimately led to Rather's retirement.

"We're celebrating Rather's demise, while we praise Harry for helping his demise along," said conservative author Phil Kent, one of the organizers of the party.

Courage, y'all.

that is how he was able to post his "evidence" within minutes of the story running.

No one has ever addressed the veracity of the INFORMATION included in the documents.
