1. I don't think we have a chance at getting rid of the machines now.

What we could do is force some kind of auditable paper trail though. I checked the link, but didn't see much info as far as plans.

2. Does Cathy Cox deserve

to be elected Governor after installing Diebold and not getting us a paper trail? Will she think Diebold is so great if the same thing that happened to Barnes/Cleland happens to her?

I really think when she did this, she thought it was a good idea. When it was first introduced, I did too! I've worked in accounting for many years, and computers were a godsend to that business. I just didn't realize these companies were going to be so stupid as not to have any source documents.

I think we should contact Kathy and pose this question to her. There's still enough time to make it happen if they start right away!
