Neil Boortz demands to know why we complain about gas but not taxes
Unfortunately my dad had that station on and I was forced to listen. This BOORtz character kept going on and on about how Americans were complaining about a simple 10 cent gas increase when the government takes at least 15% from our paychecks. Republicans twist things around in such a sick manner that all I can do is shake my head in disgust.

1. He's always complained about taxes
Edited on Tue Jul-12-05 07:42 AM by noahmijo
He's a whining little bitch just like the rest of the talk radio babblers. I seen babies drop their bottles and not put up as much of a fuss as this guy.

I remember once Al Franken put him in his place and outright showed him to be a liar or an idiot (or both) when it came to the topic of Bortz going on about how it's Democrats that are racist since a majority voted against the Civil Rights Act however what idiot boy didn't point out was that these were Dixiecrats and that it was the liberal wing of the Democratic Party that got this act passed.

Bortz pretty much wound up hanging up on him after throwing a tantrum for being proven wrong.

Bortz knows that the gas prices are thanks to Bush and Co and so he is doing his part to divert the sheeple's attention away from that fact to taxes which I'd like to know whose fault he thinks that is considering the Bush Crime Family gave the biggest tax cut to people in HIS bracket.

4. Boortz seems to think everything should be funded on the honor system
He's a tool. Some folks I know seem to think of him as "independent" because he'll occasionally offer some weak criticism of Republicans or (shockingly!) allow as how black folks maybe do have to deal with shit that white folks don't.

But mostly he whines and bitches about having to participate in any public system. He hates public schools (ALWAYS calls them "government schools," a sure sign of a loony), he thinks government is inherently evil, and yet this faux-Libertarian just thinks the Iraq war is swell.

can't stand the man.

6. I've never heard him call UGA or GA Tech government schools.

I live in GA and I can't stand Boortz. He is such a hypocrite. He railed against the Schiavo protestors and the media uproar about that poor woman (I agreeded with him about that issue) yet he continued to praise Sean Hannity (whose show follows his in Atlanta and who he calls "Baby Jesus" for some unknown reason) and he never mentioned that Hannity was parked right out in front of the poor woman's hospice.
:grr:

8. Boortz is not truly a libertarian..but Rush with a wimpier accent
strange to hear the same guy who demands to know why we complain about gas but not taxes, whine that we don't complain about the earned income tax credit "just another government handout to the poor at the expense of the successful.."

9. a relative of mine started listening to him and thinks he's great
UGH...had dinner with his family last month, and since he got married and had kids, his brain has soured...this guy used to be extremely liberal (in college, he was Mr. 'kill the white people' Black nationalist) and now all he can think about is Boortz's 'no income tax' plan. He spent the whole dinner explaining why it was a good idea to eliminate all tax but pay a 25 percent increase on all goods...even my rich fundie aunt and uncle think its a bad idea
