My good friend Tracy, fellow groomer and mentor, is putting together atruck load of supplies for another groomer in the Gulfport area. She is working with the humane society there where they are simply over run with dogs, cats and other pets. People are evacuating and are unable to take their pets so they are dropping them off at the
shelter. If you are anywhere in the Atlanta area, and have anything
at all that might be useful, please contact me at 678-334-4374 (leave a message as I only answer if I recognize the number) and I'll help coordinate pick up/drop off. They need dog, cat and bird food, crates, x pens, cat litter and just anything you could think off that a pet might use. She is also having to repair 200 acres worth of fencing and my friend will be taking gasoline in 55 gallon drums.
Any donations of supplies or cash would be appreciated greatly.

These are people I know personally and who are well known within the
grooming community. The woman in Gulfport organizes a yearly grooming seminar that takes place in Biloxi and runs a kennel and groom shop at her home. Tracy and her husband are personally arranging to take this truckload of supplies to the humane society and the people who are working with the shelter.
