Gwinnett students will lose two holidays (b/c of Perdue's school closing)
http://www.ajc.com/news/content/metro/gwinnett/1005/14schoolboard.html

Gwinnett County students will have to give up Presidents Day and a teacher work-day holiday to make up for the governor's two-day school closure last month.

The decision, announced Thursday at the Gwinnett County school board meeting, means students will be in class Feb. 20 and March 13.

April 14, which is scheduled as a student and teacher holiday, will be designated as a snow make-up day if schools are closed because of bad weather. If schools are closed for inclement weather another day, May 25 will be used as a final snow make-up day.

Gov. Sonny Perdue ordered schools closed Sept. 26-27 because of fuel shortage concerns in the wake of Hurricane Rita.

1. I think the kids need to be in school more days rather than less.
My step-daughter goes to HS in Gwinnett County.
