Billboard on 85 South - by Clairmont Road !!!!
Anyone see the billboard on 85 Southbound with the Jean Schmoidt quote ("Rep. Murtha: Democrats may cut and run but Marines never do.")

Just curious if anyone else saw it and if it made anyone else as furious as it made me. Could anyone make out what it said in the bottom right corner?

Or maybe what the ad company was? Lamar probably, given their recent refusal to air the anti-schmidt ad in Ohio.

2. Seen Saturday
Drove by on Saturday. It's still there. I didn't see the company name but the billboard is near REI and across the interstate from the mcmansions that hang over I-85 north. It's in really bad taste. On a side note the freakin regular guys are back on billboards all over the ATL.

3. Have you notified the DNC?
I think I read that Dean has attorneys looking into breach of contract because the DNC had a signed contract to post the billboards knocking what Schnidt said, and they refused to post them after we got the $$. Now they're posting the opposite?????

I think the DNC attorneys would LOVE to hear about this!

5. How? Who to contact?
I'll be happy to call, I just don't know any numbers for the DNC that aren't "give us money" numbers.

4. It makes me sick.
I saw it on my way to the Fox Theater. Furious and disgusted I was. I'm not from the south originally. This crap doesn't surprise me here.

7. I just saw it today
On a drive to GA Tech from Athens. Apparently one Marine not only cut and ran, but went to hide behind a billboard on the way.

This thing could up road rage and cause fatal traffic accidents; as if Atlanta I-85 traffic didn't have enough of those already. Thoughtless, thoughtless a**hole.

10. Finally saw it
on the way to Atlantic Station. I had also past the billboard for AM 920--Liberals hate it. Why do these people think that everyone wants to share their deranged illusions?

13. That "liberals hate it" thing--pathetic attempt at street cred
when in fact 920 has the wimpier Mikey Medved on for the afternoon drive. Mikey Medved, as stupid as he is, is far more tolerable to this liberal than is Sean Hannijob, who is on the other Reichwing stations (the DUNG, WDUN 550, and of course WSB 750.)

So no, I don't "hate" am 920, not at all. Nice try though, guys!
