99X glorifies and rewards animal abuse--please help!

Here's the story: On Wednesday, Feb. 15, the 99X morning show was giving away tickets to a station-sponsored party. The premise of the bit was "Who has committed the worst sin?" The winner was a man who described how he tied up and shot his girlfriend's dog because the animal didn't like him.

This story was repeated on Thursday morning, then one of the hosts--Axel--described how one of his relatives used to drown puppies. The "sinning" contest was staged again, and this time the hosts allowed a caller to reveal how he and his friends used to torture and murder cats (I'll spare you the details). This caller didn't win any tickets, but, once again, the hosts laughed and joked while the man told his story.

Do you find this to be acceptable radio? I don't, and I've already written the station's general manager to express my concerns. But we all know that there's strength in numbers, so maybe some of you would like to help.
