(Decatur, GA) www.cynthiaforcongress.com … Famed Actor Danny Glover came to Atlanta today to support former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney and her bid to regain her seat representing Georgia's 4th US Congressional District. En route to Satterwhite's Restaurant and Buffet, both McKinney and Glover greeted supporters at an early voting site on Memorial Drive.

Glover used the backdrop of the early voting site to talk about the danger of crossover voting:

"Crossover voting denies supporters of political parties the freedom of association and the ability to elect representation of their own choosing. The citizens of the 4th district should go to the polls in massive numbers to demonstrate that they will not be disenfranchised by it as they were two years ago."�

McKinney and Glover then proceeded to Satterwhite's Restaurant and Buffet in Stone Mountain where they were met by a crowd of supporters. Mr. Glover was introduced by Cynthia McKinney, and he delivered a rousing and inspiring speech that spoke glowingly of McKinney's leadership with courage, and the importance of the upcoming election. After dinner, they took time to shake hands, take pictures, and talk to the crowd.

They finished the evening by stopping by Martin Luther King Jr. High School where an All-Star Basketball game had been played. The star of Lethal Weapon and many other noted movie and stage productions made quite an impression on several young soon-to-be voters.
