Martin & Cagle in dead heat in polling
Go to Jim's web site to read about it and volunteer in Jim Martins' Lt.Governor campaign.

1. But from what I heard today....
Perdue has a 20 point lead on Mark Taylor. Unless something changes, this is not looking like our year to win the governor's mansion.

2. Martin race is winnable.
While polls are showing that Taylor race with Perdue is currently not close, two polls have shown that the Lt.Gov. race is a dead heat. Jim Martin has been able to appeal to independents and moderate Repubs more than Taylor has, so far. So, if you're looking for a Dem to support with Money or Time, please consider Jim Martin. He has a great shot to beat Casey Cagle and make sure that Perdue will not go unchecked (if Perdue does happen to be re-elected).

4. I received my absentee ballot today
(in the UK) and have already had the pleasure of voting for both Mark Taylor and Jim Martin!

Now I have my fingers crossed that my vote will actually be counted...

6. Hiya Ruby,
I saw the Boss on your blog page a little while back - he's adorable and sort of makes me wish I could have another one. On the other hand, my older one is 15 now and at the mercy of all his hormones and that's enough to put anybody off having children! His moods are driving me crazy.

We had a good, if brief, summer here once it finally kicked in. It was still chilly enough all the way into July to put the heat on first thing in the morning, but after that it was blazing hot all the way into this month. We're still sleeping with the bedroom window open, highly unusual for Yorkshire in late September. Anybody who doesn't believe in global climate change doesn't know what they're talking about because the seasons have gone all wonky over here.

Are you calling the baby Carter or Dean or both? Is he sleeping all night yet?
