http://www.ajc.com/search/content/metro/gwinnett/stories/2006/12/12/gwxpotter1212a.html The Harry Potter controversy goes to the state school board. Laura Mallory says that the Harry Potter books lead kids to witchcraft. Of course, like most of the talibornagain, they can't produce actual evidence of their accusation. Why can't she homeschool like the rest of her ilk who don't want their kids exposed to "harmful influences", i.e. anyone not like them. :eyes:
http://www.ajc.com/search/content/metro/stories/2006/12/11/metlanguage1211a.html "No Spanish on my dime" :wtf: what's that about? The workers, from south of the border, can't speak Spanish on the job. If this freeper felt that strongly, why can't she hire workers from the USA? That's right! US citizens have rights and won't work for minimum wage. Also, where has she had to speak other than English to get something in the metro area? Freeper hypocrite. :eyes:
http://www.ajc.com/search/content/metro/stories/2006/12/09/metmood1209a.html Cherokee County's anti-immigrant stance forcing landlords not to rent to illegal immigrants and making English the official language. Another excuse for racial profiling and a local municipality over-stepping its bounds. On the MARTA train, I hear Russian (little known fact, there's a sizeable Russian and Eastern European population) and various other languages, but those sheet-wearing freepers don't seem to have a problem there. Because they have the right "qualifications", i.e. skin tone, they're okay! :eyes:
In addition to the above incidents, the new legislature and state commissions (esp. the PSC) have more republicans than before. Listen for the screams of pain when the state government add more pro-business/anti-consumer/anti-labor policies and just roll over the people.
I guess that answered that question.
