Insider Advantage Poll: Obama Takes Georgia Lead From McCain
I'm stunned by this! To see that Georgians are going for Barack Obama is just the most wonderful thing EVER! Even if he doesn't win our State I am VERY PROUD of us all! I mean this is a BIG deal. :7

Insider Advantage Georgia released the results of a new poll that shows Barack Obama leading in the Peach State for the first time.

Their poll also points to a run-off in Georgia's hotly contested U.S. Senate race between Republican incumbent Saxby Chambliss and Democratic challenger Jim Martin.

Georgia Presidential Poll

Barack Obama (D) - 48%
John McCain (R) - 47%
Other - 2%
Undecided - 3%

Georgia U.S. Senate Poll

Saxby Chambliss (R) - 44%
Jim Martin (D) - 42%
Allen Buckley (L) - 2%
Undecided - 12%

Another set of polls released yesterday by Rasmussen Reports says John McCain's lead in Georgia is down to five points after being at eleven points in September . In the U.S. Senate race, the Rasmussen survey puts Chambliss ahead of Martin by two. Libertarian Allen Buckley registers at 1% in the poll .

A gracious tip o'the hat to Thomas Wheatley at Creative Loafing for highlighting the results of the Rasmussen poll.

1. Clinton won GA in '92.
Carter, of course, won GA in '76 and '80. I still like to think of GA as a moderate state. Absent theft by Diebold, I think Obama can win here.

The United States is a LIBERAL Country.
