well, we just got approved for PeachCare

Now we can breathe a bit easier.

Husband lost his job in July. Carried Cobra for three months. We could not continue to pay over 1K a month for insurance. I was really getting nervous - it took several weeks to get any sort of an answer.

1. My children are both covered by it. Wife is covered by medicaid.

Me? No coverage whatsoever. Hope I don't get sick.

5. my husband is in the same category

I'm disabled, so medicare covers me. We were praying for peachcare because our son has hemophilia. We get help from Hemophilia of Georgia, but they are having shortages - many many people with kids with the same problem are getting thrown out of work.

I slept through the night when I recieved that notice.

6. it's so tough right now

And I had called around for private insurance -- holy crap! One mention of hemophilia and ALL of the agents shut us off. We're insurance lepers -- the most in need of a REAL universal healthCARE program.

Now we need to keep Sonny Perdue and his ham-handed ways from messing with the program.

7. Getting set up on peachcare

 I am on COBRA along with my two children.  My job has been
reduced to part time so I can't afford the COBRA premium any
more.  Do I have to drop my boys from COBRA before i can get
them on Peachcare?
