Shock in GA - Barrow now says he supports Fed Anti-Gay measure
I'm in shock, anger and despair.
:wtf: :grr:

Barrow, who ran with support of GLBT groups has now turned his back on them. I woke up to news that John Barrow now supports an amendment to discriminate against gays.

http://www.savannahnow.com/stories/091404/2441927.shtml

I'm speechless. I don't know what to do.

What would be the use of another turn-coat like Zell?
But yet...

Isakson would no doubt be worse.
But yet...
Not another Zell.
:grr::nuke::grr:

1. If you elect a democrat you at least have half a chance
If you don't, you are going to get Scalia's clones on the Supreme Court and suffer for the next 30 years.

3. I hate being lied to.
This guy could give us Scalia clones. Probably will.
I imagine I'll vote for him, though.

Because what other option is there?

2. GA Democratic party made it OK
By refusing to hold Zell Miller responsible for his actions.

With Zell as an example, why would any Democratic candidate in Georgia fear acting like a republican?

7. article on this decision of Barrow's.....

"REPUBLICANS HAVE SET a trap for Democratic candidates in moderate and conservative districts across the country. And in the Georgia 12th, some Democrats appear ready to help Max Burns push John Barrow headlong into it."

10. I wondered at first
if he was just DESPERATELY trying to get elected, but I have since heard that he will stick to his guns if it comes up for a vote . . . and it MAY . . . it's being debated in the house right now.

I should've worked harder on the Haines campaign . . . Barrow is a dissappointment. I definately can't vote for Burns, so I may have to sit that one out
