I remember putting up signs for Ken Poston who ran for Congress, Mark Taylor who ran for Governor, and signs for Michael Thurmond. I asked a lawyer where I should put them..he said they should be put along the "right of way" on the state roads.
I did this, but day after day all my signs were torn down, ripped apart and the signs I replaced them with disappeared as well!!
I always got permission before I placed a sign on private property, but those usually vanished as well. I put Mark Taylor signs along the road side in my yard, even those disappear. Then I went to the DA's office to ask what I could do. Jason Deal, a Republican, replied don't put them near the road!!!
Who's going to see them if we can't put them near the road? Republicans do that..without having those signs torn down! I was told never to put signs near the polling place, but when I voted on May 11th..there were signs for Tom Graves, Lee Hawkins, and for Chris Cates..all Republicans.
politics is tough, but should tearing down signs be a one-party activity??? :banghead:
Hang in there..Democrats must have tough skin to live in this state! :fistbump:
