Sinkfield wins!

ATLANTA (AP) — State Rep. Georganna Sinkfield has defeated state Sen. Gail Buckner to become the Democratic nominee in the race for Georgia secretary of state.

Unofficial returns Tuesday show Sinkfield with 59 percent of the vote after 81 percent of precincts reported.

Sinkfield was my choice, on the basis of her support for a voter-verified paper trail (which Buckner does not support). Who knows if Sinkfield can win in November, but I think she's the best candidate.
