please, let's show support for vetwife's award event @ Gold-Dust Park, Villa Rica, Monday, Oct 4; 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

this is a heavily RW leaning area, and hecklers & agitating activists can be expected.

let's roar louder than the opposition! any atlanta area or N/W GA DUers *PLEASE* try to attend!

i know this is an inconvenient time for many; if you can't attend, please try to send a surrogate: spouse, SO, friend, dependant. vetwife deserves our support.

this is a lovely, clean, block-sized city park perfect for a grassy picnic as the event unfolds. plenty of take-out available in area also.

jukes will be a definite attendee!

were able to attend/participate, but the event was quite succesful anyway. there were no hecklers or disruptive people there.

vetwife was congratulated by the VR city manager, & interviewed by several local papers, although the Atlanta Journal Constitution was not represented. i believe that she can advise you of C-span's plans/scedule for televising the event.

All went well and was very happy that Jukes was there. To a degree we were boycotted. But all in all it went fine. I know everyone has a busy schedule. Keep in mind, the mind set of these people are generally, "Whats the big deal with a little news bus coming out". I was actually told that. ROFL. These people are like a 1000 Zell Millers. Thanks for the post Jukes and thanks for your support !
