A decision on the Navy's University Affiliated Research Center may be made as early as October. Last week the Anti-UARC coalition sponsored an anti-UARC rally on campus. The coalition has provided speakers who are knowledgeable about UARC for many UH-Manoa classes.Brown-bag lunch discussions are being held. And now they're throwing a concert!

Over the past 8 months this determined and energetic coalition has managed to politicize the University of Hawai`i-Manoa campus as it has not been politicized in many years. They need OUR support. The biggest fight is still ahead!

Stop by the concert at UH-Manoa. IT'S FREE and open to the public. It will be both fun and informative, and there will be informed activists there to answer your questions and get into discussion. If you teach, please announce the concert in your classes. Come with your families and friends!
Stop by for minutes or hours. Your support and participation is tremendously important to dozens of UH students who are new to political activism and who have continued to organize in the face of lack of funding, the generally apathetic atmosphere on campus, and the lies and distortions that have been put forward by the University of Hawai`i administration.

Your support will help them continue and strengthen the struggle to stop classified military research at the University of Hawai`i. It's a struggle all of us have a stake in! (NION-Hawaii)
