Anyone else ticked off that Hawaii doesn't have a Renaissance Faire?

Because i mean Hawaii has stuff like a Japanese cultural fair,Filipino Cultural fair and stuff like that,What gives?


A Renaissance fair or Renaissance festival is an outdoor weekend gathering ostensibly focused on recreating life as it was during the Renaissance. In fact, these events create a fantasy inspired, in most cases, by both historical references (most often England in the time of Henry VIII or Elizabeth I) and by perceptions of the Middle Ages and Renaissance obtained from movies, games, books, comics, and television shows.

1. I was just thinking about that a couple of weeks ago

I was at a birthday party for a friend who looks absolutely smashing in your basic buxom wench/Elizabethan barmaid outfit. Alas, she has no place to show off her stuff...

Plus, we have really nice, large venues like Kualoa Ranch for that sort of thing. And we have had SCA demos in Kapi'olani Park. We're the Principality of the Mists in Caid, and even got a shoutout on Pamela Young's "Mixed Plate" a couple of years ago.

But it seems so hard to contact the SCA,because they're not listed in the White Pages and they seem unreachable when i try to email them.
