Bizarre sight at the Capitol: Jewish state rep has a fish symbol
on his office door!

It's right there on the door of Rep. Mark Moses, R (surprise!)-40th (Kapolei and vicinity), next to a Star of David inscribed with the word "Shalom"!!

Please explain to me what it is doing there. Several other reps, of both parties, who are evangelical Christians, display the fish symbol on their doors, in blatant violation of the principle of separation of church and state. But at least they have a reason to display it! I can only assume, that, on Rep. Moses' door, the fish means that socially conservative evangelicals are more welcome in his office than are ordinary constituents.

That whole West O'ahu area is turning into repuke/fascist heaven. Mike Gabbard, city councilreptile and now congressional candidate; his daughter, Tulsi Gabbard Tamayo (DINO-Ewa Beach); and Moses, of course. Aaaaargh. Even Dem state Sen. Colleen Hanabusa has been cozying up to the Lingle administration.Ye gods.

2. I don't think that violates Separation

If it is the door to his/her office I suppose they should be allowed to express themselves. Admittedly, as a matter of good taste I think such things should be on the inside of their office. But if they want to hang posters or whatever on the outside of their door ... you're going to end up with a rather tacky looking state capitol building.

4. I thought the same thing
:wow: Only in Hawaii, ya?

You should ask the guy point blank what he means by this, maybe offer to get him a Gefilte or even a Darwin fishie from the website that sells them. He's gotta be kidding -- I hope.
