E Street Theater, do any DC Duers go there????
I just found out today that my film "Can Mr. Smith Get to Washington Anymore?" will begin a theater run in early August at the E Street Theater in DC. Landmark thinks this is the perfect place for a progressive movie like ours. What is the neighborhood like (we want our film shown in eclectic livable neihgborhoods and not suburban theaters)?

1. It is the perfect place for your movie.
It's a great theater. They show mostly indie films and political stuff. But unlike some indie theaters, it's relatively new and comfortable. Conveniently located in downtown DC. I give it a big thumbs-up.

Here's what they're showing now, courtesy of Fandango:

3. well, put it this way...
it's where An Inconvenient Truth is playing in DC, and when I went, on opening weekend, people were booing and hissing everytime Bush was mentioned. It's an insider crowd, people are very knowledgable about politics and government in general.

By the way, it was the best possible place to see "Thank you for smoking" all the insiders with the insider jokes.
