Linda Cropp's TV ads
I am curious to see if anyone has seen Cropp's ads this week? What do you think? I don't know why she's waisting money before the primary on ads. I guess Fenty's 10 point lead has freaked her out!

1. I don't like them. I would rather learn about her agenda than
hear her criticize an opponent. I am not sure what she has to offer. I met Fenty last week in Logan Circle and he gave me a pamphlet that outlined his agenda which is mostly focused on education. I like his grass roots campaign. It shows he wants to connect with his potential constituents and he really wants the job.

2. Fenty is a retail candidate
Fenty is going door-to-door too, which I think says a lot about his commitment to the city. Meeting with citizens one-on-one will help him make better, informed decisions when he's mayor.

3. He is my Councilmember, and I wholeheartedly support him.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to vote in the September 12 primary becasue I am a registered Independent. So that precludes me from participating in the primary.

But I think you are absolutely right about Fenty, and I support him.

He has been going door-to-door. Very grassroots and hands on.

But more importantly, I really love his commitment to constituent services. He has been the best city council representative for my ward, that I can remember. Anytime we contact his constituent services coordinator about an issue (i.e. broken street lights not fixed, etc) they are johnny on the spot.

So I hope to see him move on to the general election, and become our next mayor.

I will be praying for him.

4. I find those ads insulting.
Marie Johns stood on my front porch on the hottest day of the year
and talked to me, even though I had a Fenty sign in my yard.

I really liked her, but Fenty is the only candidate who talks about
the entire District, not just one ward or zip code.

He's also the only candidate on record to support gay rights.

BTW, Cropp hasn't made it to the neighborhood yet.
