1. Wow! Fenty got almost double Cropp's votes
And Eleanor Holmes Norton, who has a seat but not a vote in Congress, with an astounding 94%.

2. I was really surprised by Fenty's victory margin.
There seems to be a 'old time politics' v 'new blood'
thing going on in DC. I just moved here last December,
so I don't know much about local politics.

3. Fenty is fresh and has a reputation for getting things done.
Starting his campaign early also helped. I look forward to seeing what he can accomplish.
