Sign up here if you're going to DC for the march
and let us know if you plan to attend any DU meetup being organized for Friday night and/or Saturday night. We'd like to get an idea of how many people to expect.

You can also post if you're looking for a roomie or any other particulars.

70. I'm Confused... Is UFPJ Marching WITH ANSWER On the 17th?
I heard they were marching on the 19th. I had to attend a funeral and was gone for a couple of days. Any information will be helpful. I also inquired about meeting with others, but my ganddaughter will be with me. She's 11 and I'm not sure what kind of meet-up you are talking about.

http://www.unitedforpeace.org/

We're trying to get someone to pick a good spot to meet on Sat. morning before the march. We'll keep things updated as we know more in this thread or will start another one here at some point. I will be away with no computer access from Saturday through Wednesday,so I hope someone else will pick up the ball while I'm gone. I'll only be home for a day before I leave for DC next Friday.

The banner is more purple & gold than blue & gold. LynneSin had it made to match the colors the suffragettes used when she had the banner made for the Million Women March.

59. We are coming!
My husband and I and our 2 daughters (13 and 8 years old) are driving down from PA on Friday night and will be staying in the Marriott. If we make good time and are able to get ourselves settled, the grown ups will try to make it to the Friday night gathering. I'm assuming we should taxi from the hotel to the restaurant - true? Any other advice specific to DC would be appreciated. We know what to bring/wear, etc., just looking mostly for DC tips if there are any that apply.

Thanks!

BTW - the 8 year old made herself a sign that delivers this message to Bush - "Eat more pretzels".
