Need room/bed/couch in DC for Inauguration.

Need a place to stay for one or two people on the nights of Sunday, Jan 18 thru Thu, Jan 22.

The reason it is for one or two people is because I planned the trip for just myself a long time ago, but now my best friend (of 30+ years) is able to join me. We would like to stay together, obviously, but the place where I am staying does not have room for any more people. So if we can find a place to stay together we'll take that, but if all we can find is room for one, my friend will take that and we'll spend our nights apart and then meet up during the day.

My friend and I just need a safe place to sleep, clean up and keep our bags: We are non-smokers and don't plan to party much; we are more interested in seeing the sights during the days, so we will be in at a (relatively) early hour at night and be out the door first thing in the morning and gone all day. We are both responsible professionals and will make it our business to be respectful of everyone's schedules and personal affects. We are willing and able to provide personal and professional references upon request. Kids and pets are not a problem, we love them!

We would prefer a place as close to the heart of DC as possible as we hope to use walking as our primary mode of transportation.
