Compañer@s,
There are two big Latin America solidarity actions today in Washington that CISPES is supporting.
First, there will be rally and press conference denouncing the coup in Honduras today at the Honduran embassy. Local FMLN committees, Mejicanos sin Fronteras, and other groups will be demanding the immediate reinstatement of President Zelaya. People will begin to gather at 1pm at the Honduran Embassy (3007 Tilden St. NW DC, near the Van Ness Metro Stop.) There will be a press conference at 2 pm and the rally will continue until around 5 pm. Please join us at any time during the afternoon.
CISPES is also participating in an emergency rally for human rights in Colombia today at 12:30 in Lafayette Park. See below for more information from Witness for Peace.
