Water main break - Georgetown? Foggy Bottom?
Our building at 26th & M NW is officially closed. No water, no A/C. I'm leaving in a few minutes.

I can find no news about this, though. Not on WTOP, not on nbc4.com. Anyone else heard about it? Or affected by it?

Office closed. No water.

The boss' house in G'town was also affected.

Back on today, though.

8. Wore my Senators cap and Mookie Mets shirt to the game...
last night.

The Senators cap with the leather liner and green under the bill got me some dap at the park!

7. LOL! Oh, honey, this is nothing. Four years ago, manhole covers started
exploding all through Georgetown like popcorn. The electrical lines run through the sewers. I guess it was successive breaks in the lines combined with methane . . . ? I don't really know what happened, except that there was no electricity here for 5-6 days. It was nice to get a surprise paid vacation, but a lot of people suffered for lack of electricity and a few died.

There's the opening of a political thriller!

12. funny things happen
when you have a 100 year old system, built on the cheap, that no one has bothered to spend money for maintenance one. Stuff breaks. Bring on the billion dollar tunnels for overflow!

13. On the 4th
There was a break at Reservoir and Foxhall, and they were fixing it until yesterday. (All was clear this morning.) But that's pretty far from Foggy Bottom.
