Updated info for the DC gathering in DC
First, I will not be staying at the Carlyle Suites. I was able to get a good price for this hotel room, but now it seems they're offering rooms at $225+ per night which was out of the price range for many DUers. So I spoke with my group and we switched to another hotel room over on Capital Hill. It's also a Suite but the price range is $145-$179 depending on the size of the room you get (you can save more money by prepaying)

The meeting place for the protest starts at 11am at the Washington Monument. I will post soon about a Breakfast meetup that'll start around 9am where we can all hang out and get our energy going before the protest. I'll also have a second meeting place at the time of the protest for those who can't make breakfast. I also hope to have the banner we had at the March for Choice event so folks can find us easier!

Jimmy Jazz and I will be organizing a pre-event Friday night for those of you in the area and Brainshrub has a great event going on for Saturday afterwards.

I would like for everyone to think of this as a total DU gathering weekend where we have plenty of activities for all of us to hangout, have fun and get politically involved.

Hoping to see you there

Lynne

1. Whoohoo RFD's owned by the folks who own the Brickskeller
Which means it has wide, wide selection of brews. I think RFD has 300-400 selections, as well as some decent food. Of course, Brickskeller has like 10,000... but it's nowhere near downtown and pretty far from a metro stop.

2. Great hope you're at all of the events
We're actually planning several events surrounding the afternoon protest at the Washington Memorial including a pre-party on Friday night, breakfast before the protest and of course the afterparty.

Friday night party will probably be in the Capital HIll area since my hotel is now located in that area
