This is in NO guarentee that the price will be that when you check, but you should be able to find it!

As for the Capital Hill Suites: They have reduce their price for a 1 bed/2 people room to $139/night + tax. This is a great rate (for this hotel) and if you were still trying to get a room there now is the time to grab it:

4. You can actually do quite well in D.C. on Priceline...
I got the Renaissance Washington Hotel for $70 per night

5. That's a great price
I had picked the CapHill because I wanted a suite and it was the best rate around. However, I suspect we'll have DUers all over the DC Metro area!

6. Wow!
That's an amazing price -- I don't know anything about the hotel, but it sounds like a nice one.

and it is a nice one. Very much an upmarket chain hotel, but big and comfortable rooms with that generic upscale look, great location next to Chinatown and the old Convention Center. (It's a business-oriented hotel, so rates tend to drop on the weekends and I think that's why I was able to score such good rates). It's a block and a half from the Gallery Place-Chinatown metro station.

9. great price ... but
RED company (Marriot) vs the 100% blue Starwood Hotels (Sheraton, Westin, Capitol Hill Suites ;)).

7. I think that's less than it was when I booked two weeks ago
We should all meet up in the lobby to go to the Friday night event. Let's touch base when we get closer.

10. Call back to the hotel and let them know of the cheaper price
Make sure you ask for the manager and just tell her you found the cheaper rate on their website and would like to get that price. Or book a hotel at the new price and then cancel your old room (book first so you don't accidently lose the entire room just in case they sell out)

:D

14. Anybody looking for someone to share a room at the Cap Hill?
I never get my feces consolidated until the last minute and I thought, why mess up my trend?

I've got a ticket (Sept 23rd - sept 26th Southwest to BWI) but haven't secured lodging yet.

So, if anyone wants to lighten their financial load and take on a roomie, PM me. I don't think I have any exceptionally weird habits, at least none that I would bring with me.
