i know this has gone around a few times. yesterdays march makes me wonder. the whole plan seems like the kind of thing that a mom does to get a toddler worn out. it sure made it hard for me to sell buttons. i did manage to get to the pre-meet-up-meet-up point, and do a little business. but there was no way for me to drive the ole pinkomobile down and set up in another location. i also tried to hit some of the "feeder march" meet-up spots, and just missed the step-offs, trying to get from one to another.
the whole meet here, march there, take a bus, march some more, we must march on mighigan avenue, even if it means marching at night, what a bunch of b.s.
police estimated 7,000 people. i think last year the estimate was 30,000. it looks like it worked out pretty well for them.

I've met a fair number of ANSWER people, and I've no doubt they're sincere in what they do.

How good their tactics are, I really couldn't say. I don't think any of us can claim to be an expert on that; once we actually find something that works, we'll know.

2. i know some, myself.

i think most of them are good people, and true believers. but the whole plan here was so f'ed up. maybe it is just that i am sick of polite, permitted, police contained, video-taped demonstrations. they just remind me that the constitution is on life support.
