voting process are sour grapes? i would find that cynical and anti-democratic. i have a story or 2 of my own about funny business. i am told there are a lot more out there. i think that forrest claypool's race had a lot more screwiness. i think it was obviously a trainwreck, and should be thoroughly investigated. at least a decent audit must be done, in my opinion. this is the state of elections in this country today. we accept them at face value at our peril. i am not accusing anyone of stealing anything. i am saying that, from what i can see from here, i have no confidence in the outcome. i find it just too close to call with certainty. it is in everyone's best interest to hold it up to the sunlight. tammy cannot win in november if we don't get it right. i intend no disrespect to anyone. i make no accusations because i have no evidence. but the burden of proof is on the vote counters. if we do not have confidence, they have not done their jobs well enough. too bad both camps cannot come together over the issue of ballot integrity. it would be a win, win, win situation.
all that said, i do commend tammy duckworth for doing a great job of stepping up to her challenge. i wish her all the best. this race, and john laesch's win show the hunger in the party for fighting dems. let's hope that this is not just a red, white, and blue paint job on the same old pink tutus. :toast: here's to hoping for the best for our party, and our country.
