well, the only strong opinions i have seen are for thursday or friday. it kinda looks like friday is presumed to be funtime.
so, i say friday it is. now the question is where. looking at the hotels- my old hippy heart says lets get together in the hilton bar, for old times sake. we'll use the door this time. (just jokin, i wasn't there in '68. i am innocent.)
pretty convenient for everyone, i think. parking is pretty available in the area, accessible to the red line, blue line, and not too expensive cab ride from the metra stations.

2. the trouble is

the only trouble with mc cormick place is that it is a world unto itself, and pretty much only accessible by car. and parking there is not cheap. that is why i mentioned the hilton. that and the jokes about dems in the hilton that only old timers will get.

6. Since there seem to be so few of us, maybe we should

just touch base and get together at one of the other events being planned in the evenings. I know there are a bunch of Michigan folks coming who will probably get together at some point. I'm rooming with Rayne, who posts a lot at FDL and elsewhere, and someone else from Michigan.

I'm sure we won't want for opportunities to socialize.

5. sigh. i have tried to get some response to this, but

i am getting tired of kicking my own threads. it doesn't really look like folks are all that interested. which is a shame, but i can't bang my head on the wall all day.
