Dear (frogcycle)
Our campaign is thrilled to have received an endorsement from the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America. In the letter notifying us of the endorsement UE president Carl Rosen noted:
In taking the vote, the UE Western Regional Council took notice of your support for single-payer health care, your dedication to bringing all of our troops home from Iraq, and your own proud background as a trade union member. We happily add UE too, and sincerely thank the growing list of organizations, community leaders, and precinct committeemen who have made the decision to endorse this campaign. I am truly honored by the faith and trust that people place in me and I promise to fight for the working men and women of this district. I will make sure our clear simple message that "We the people want change" is heard in Washington.
I must thank Amanda Mullenbach, the artist of the new wall mural in our office. This picture says it all!
As you look closely at the picture I hope you notice our new yard signs in the background. You can have one for your yard. They are available at the campaign office Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Enthusiastic volunteers like Amanda have kept the office open, manned our phone lines, walked in parades, done weekend canvassing, and held house parties. They are the meaning behind the term grassroots effort and they need your support.
The fall is a wonderful time for going door to door and spreading our message to the district. The volunteers ask for no payment, but the supplies cost money. Yard signs, campaign literature and our monthly rent payment all add up. With five days until the September 30th FEC filing deadline, I am asking you to contribute what you can. We cannot do any of this without your support. A $25 contributor is just as important as the person who can make the maximum $2,300 contribution. Remember, if we the people want real change in our government, then we the people are going to have to pay for it.
http://www.john08.com/donateThe only way to win this rural/suburban district is through grassroots efforts. Tomorrow morning I will be shaking hands at a restaurant in Sugar Grove before driving to meet with more labor leaders in the Quad Cities. You can help me by spreading the word to your family and friends.
Together we can be a strong voice for change.
