I'm curious, and just throwing out a bone: I have a guy who would be a fine candidate for the U.S. House in 2012 - articulate, highly charismatic, young, liberal, college educated and politically savvy - who might be interested in making a run for the House on the Democratic ticket in the Illinois 12th. Incumbent Jerry Costello is a decent man, and I'm sure he has good intentions, but he is wrong on women's productive rights (and they are rights) and labor issues. My friend is a socially liberal, New Deal type, and this might be a good opportunity to at least put the fear of God (or the left) into someone who is basically a Blue Dog. What sort of support could we garner from the people of the 12th if we were to attempt it?
