My hometown.
I thought some of you might enjoy this sign posted by a fed-up teenager in my small town.

The grocery story where he worked is really hurting. They don't have the selections that the larger stores in nearby communities are able to carry. I would not be surprised if our store closes. But one kid won't care:

1. that`s funny !
when we banked at mt morris we always bought stuff at m&m. their specials were as good as anyone in dixon. but sterling federal bought mt morris and that totally sucked.

polo lost a lot of industry in the last years and i think most people work in dixon or freeport

2. There is nothing here any more.
The downtown, such as it is, has become a wasteland. Some of the local restaurants are starting to close early because they have no customers.

I won't like it much if I have to drive out of town to get basic groceries. Of course I can get milk at one of the gas stations here, but it does cost more.
