I Paid More In Income Taxes Than Millionaire Bill Brady Did, Two Years Running
Edited on Wed Sep-29-10 08:12 PM by mikekohr
and I make less than $29,000.00 per year. But then anybody that paid one cent in income taxes over the last two years paid more than millionaire developer Brady did. Deadbeat Bill paid ZERO.

But he has other redeeming qualities:

1. Bill Brady was one of only 12 to vote against Illinois’ first jobs bill in 10 years; Illinois Jobs
Now! grows the economy through infrastructure improvements and will create and
retain 439,000 jobs.
2. Has a 100% anti-choice voting record – opposing abortions even in cases of rape, incest, and
when the health of the woman is a risk.
3. Has voted multiple times against anti-discrimination protections for the LGBT
community, and has sponsored three amendments to limit unions between same-sex
couples.
4. The Applied Research Center, an organization that promotes racial equity, awarded
Brady a grade of ‘F' based on his voting record. Only two other legislators received this
dismal rating.
5. Senator Brady has opposed key women’s health initiatives, including voting against
insurance coverage for mammograms, pap tests, and mastectomy rehabilitation. He
was also one of only two representatives to oppose providing new mothers 48-hours of
recovery time after giving birth, preventing “drive by deliveries.”
6. Brady does not believe that the state has an interest in ensuring equal pay for equal
work.
7. In February 2010, Senator Brady proposed a bill to mass kill dogs and cats in gas
chambers.
8. Voted against after-school programs and reading improvement programs, and
expanding school food programs for disadvantaged children.
9. Proposed lowering the minimum wage, taking $2,000 a year out of the pockets of
hundreds of thousands hardworking men, women, and families who earn only $17,000
per year.
10. Senator Brady does not believe human activities contribute to climate change, the
conclusion of the overwhelming body of scientific research. Asked about the issue at a
Tea Party rally, he said, “No, I don’t accept that premise, and it is wrong”.

Yea. That's the guy we need in the governor's mansion.

1. An old roommate of mine from college
just posted a picture of himself and some other guy grinning
it up with Brady at EIU. Kinda makes me sick knowing that he
supports the guy. I knew since I met him that he was raised a
Repub but we got along since he was more moderate than most.
It looks to me like he just fell off the cliff entirely with
this support of Brady, though.
