Quinn signed a bill today authorizing work on the train from Chgo. to Galena, etc.?

Rockford, Dubuque, to begin next year.

My friend, who wants to retire to Galena, said she heard it on the radio. I couldn't find anything about it online, only references to old articles from April, 2010. If true, it must have been with funds from the Stimulus package. Great news - I hope its true.

2. There already is a train that goes from Chicago to Galena
but it doesn't run every day as I understand. My friend took it last year and loved it...the train and Galena.
