3. The Blues Brothers

But one of the best scenes in the Blues Brothers was actually shot in Milwaukee (the flying Nazis off the bridge).

11. OMG, its "The Fugitive"!!! The only one that made SENSE for Chi

A good movie in itself, it got an A on actual Chicago locations. For example, when they say the one armed man lives in Pullman, they point at a map, to Pullman. They show up at a house in Pullman (my wife recognizes the grocery on the corner).

When the marshalls are in an office listening to a phone call, the call is made by Harrison under the el tracks at Wells and the river and they are a few blocks away on Michigan. The office is overlooking the Wrigley clock--an actual view that I have personally seen. They say, hey, we hear an el.

Take the untouchables. Connery lives on West Racine. Barf.

18. Absolutely!!! "The Fugitive" is the only movie that 'feels' like Chicago.

The old Polish lady with the perverted son. They actually look Polish! Pure Chicago.

As you mention, the scenes in Pullman, the el by the Mart, even the cops in the movie. All very Chicagoesque.

Also, the scene on Lower Wacker when Kimble rendezvous with his doctor pal, and the scenes at Cook County Hospital.

This is the best "Chicago-feel" movie.

"High Fidelity" comes in second.

Rookie of the Year Centers around Wrigley, fer gawd's sakes!

Beginning of the End (Peter Graves chasing giant grasshoppers off the Wrigley building!!!)

Part of The Natural is set in Wrigley. Glenn Close's character lives in Chicago. Ebert referred to her as "Our lady of the extra innings."

Planes Trains and Automobiles was in both Chicago AND St. Louis!

13. well, I voted for "The Sting" one of the best movies ever made, regardless

of location.

But you left out "Home Alone", another Chicago based movie,
and "My Bodyguard" also was set in Chicago.

I love lots of these films, but can't top "The Sting"!!!!
