http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-snow23.html"Strong winds and relentless lake-effect snow that hit 15 inches in some parts of the area canceled hundreds of weekend flights and made driving treacherous Saturday.
But forecasters said temperatures should improve to about 24 degrees today -- and the snow should stop in Chicago, giving plows and shovelers a chance to dig out.
It's not over yet for northwest Indiana, though. That area was expected to get as much as four more inches of snow today.
Saturday's storm forced the cancellation of 590 inbound and outbound flights at O'Hare Airport, where passengers endured two-hour delays, Aviation Department spokeswoman Annette Martinez said. Midway Airport had 46 canceled flights and 90-minute delays in and out."
Man, I'm lucky to have a great landlord who keeps a maintenance man on full-time. As soon as it snows, my sidewalk is cleared right away. I had to help remove the snow from my girlfriend's car though. That was tough. She had been in the same spot during the latter half of the storm. It took about 20 minutes to finish. After that it was all good.
I'm having some trouble walking about though. Snow has piled up and some of my Lakeview neighbors don't care to shovel (guess I shouldn't complain because someone did my shoveling for me, but still).
