and his policies are liberal, which is why they want him gone.

After reading his platform and past votes, I would gladly vote for the man.

The old-fashioned type from ther Party that ONCE was The Party Of Lincoln. In the past, they held beliefs we strongly opposed, but we still admired their personal integrity. NOW??? Neo-Cons, Theo-Cons, and rebadged Dixiecrats. Did I mention mendacious HYPOCRITES?

I imagine the feeling between him and those CREEPS is mutual.

LaHood's a great guy. If it weren't for pubbies like him, Obama might have had to go up against Fitzgerald and it would have been alot harder to beat an incumbent. The site points out LaHood was also instrumental in exposing Repug wacko Phil Crane.

I do hope the pugs nominate LaHood for Governor because he represents some far-right district and has never won a real election. The only thing he's useful for is taking down fellow Republicans. Who the hell thinks LaHood would be the "strongest" opponent against Blago? Must be one of those DUers would voted for Kerry in the primary because he would "beat Bush". Blago would mop the follow with a repug like LaHood, which is fine because LaHood will wipe out all the big-name, rich repugs in the primary who can self fund.

LaHood's a master at the repug game of "eating their own". Shame on this guy for trashing one of the few decent folks in the GOP. Anyone who wanted George Ryan for a 2nd term can't be all that bad.

13. LaHood is very much a moderate

and while his district was drawn to be very Republican, he still represents a politically moderate area. LaHood is a serious threat because he would draw away some of the moderate downstate swing-voters that voted for Rod last time.

3. Well that site raises my opinion of LaHood alot!

There's SOOO much info there. Thanks a ton trits for putting this here. Not only is it hilarious that this site is trying to kill off the best chance the Republicans have for the governorship, but it gives some in-depth info on other candidates and Republicans that is worth a read. I hope MANY Republicans read this website. Pass it on!

7. This site is great

I like how they put pictures of Jack Ryan and George Bush under the title of "honest Republicans" LaHood has attacked. Isn't "honest republican" an oxymoron in the days of Bush?

I'm tempted to write them an encouraging email because LaHood is the best chance Republicans have of defeating Rod.
