ESPN.com: 7 Questions for Baby Bulls

"With 23 victories already, same as last season's tally, perhaps it's time to play Twenty-Three Questions With The Bulls, in honor of the win total and, well, You Know Who.

Or maybe not.

Since these are the new Bulls, let's play Seven Questions instead, in a bow to Chicago's sixth man extraordinaire: No. 7, Ben Gordon.

Let's play Seven Questions because even Eddy Curry welcomes our curiosity.

"I think that's the natural response of somebody who's watching this team and who's been watching for the last five years," Curry said. "You've got to wonder if this is just a (good) stretch we're going through or have the Bulls finally got it? Are these guys really ready to make that next step?"

Curry's answer?"

I can' believe the Bulls were able to beat Dallas at Dallas last night. That was a huge step for them. This article is really great because it goes in depth about the Bulls and you get to hear some of the players' thoughts.

1. How's the Eastern Conference looking?
Are the Bulls in contention at all? I haven't been paying attention.

2. The Bulls have the 7th spot in the playoffs currently
http://www.nba.com/standings/team_record_comparison/conferenceNew_Std_Div.html

They are a game behind the sixth spot and a 4 1/2 games behind the Central Conference leader Detroit. The weird thing is that if they can get into first place in the Central, they will take the second seed. If you look at the Cavs, they have the same record as Detroit but because of the screwy way divisions work now and because the Wiz and the Heat are doing so well, the Cavs have the 5th seed. It's quite weird to look at and I'm familiar with how these three division leagues work.

3. Holy shit! They realigned the divisions?!?
Shows how long I've been outta the loop. Damn, that Atlantic Division sure is looking sorry. What's wrong with Philly? Is AI out?

4. AI is about all Philly has
I've seen Philly a couple of times on TV and the only NBA game I've seen live in the last decade was this year and it just happened to be Philly. Their team is so young. The night I saw them their entire lineup sans AI was born in the 80's. Now that can be a good thing, but I think it works against them. The Bulls are young, but the core has been playing together for quite awhile now. Philly is small too. Their starting center is 6-11 and their backup is 6-10. After that they have a 6'9 guy and a 6'8 guy. No one you would know if you didn't know the divisions just changed, LOL. While the East isn't very big overall, Philly is still small in comparison. AI has been out for a little bit, but when he is in, he is still dynamite. The night I saw him, he scored 54 points. It was quite amazing. The next game he played he scored 50, and after that he scored ONLY 40. AI needs more help though.

5. You're not kidding
About the Sixers' youth. Hell, most of these guys are barely older than I am, and one of 'em is younger than me! I see the Lakers have really stunk it up so far. They're trotting out Vlade Divac? Hasn't he been around forever? I remember him, Magic, and James Worthy against the Bulls in the Finals back in '91. He's gotta be near 40, isn't he? He's like the Julio Franco of the NBA!
