It would be cool if it had something to do with Little Italy or Greek town. The Spartans? The Legions? It's the least Chicago could do after clearing the two neighborhoods out to create UIC and the UIC Pavilion where they will be playing their games. Of course you don't want to insult one group by not taking them into consideration. Greektown is more united than Little Italy is though.

Why should the Chicago team be any better bet than any of the other franchises? Geez, even the Houston team, which has won 2 titles is hemmoraging money. Somebody with a lot of money and tremendous optimism is putting the cash forward for this venture.

Sorry, but squirrels just sounds goofy. However, I believe Olney High School in Southern Illinios is called the White Squirrels because they have white squirrels in their community and they are proud of them.

The wifey is from downstate and though she's not from Olney, she has been there and has seen the white squirrels. We were at a B&B in Duneland Beach, Indiana and saw black squirrels. And I mean, jet black. They looked really cool.

Ok then, Sparrows it is. Always best to name sports teams after indigenous creatures, I feel.
