Schoenburg: Governor says money not be-all, end-all of his plans
Edited on Sun Feb-20-05 05:45 PM by Radical Activist
An interesting philosophy I hadn’t really focused on before became clearer this week as I listened to Gov. ROD BLAGOJEVICH discussing his controversial new state budget.

He doesn’t want the money.

One thing I find interesting about this article is that Blagojevich keeps talking about his grand vision. Maybe its the fault of the writer, but I never read what that vision is. Is moving some money around in the state budget and firing some state workers Blagojevich's only vision or central goal as Governor? That's hardly compelling.

1. Right
He wants higher education turn into a second class act in the state. Texas, which has one of most stingy legislatures, would do anything to keep their top public universities funded to be competitve.

Blogo...
