Many municipalities and townships are having their primary elections today, my own included.

We have a 3-way race for alderman in my ward, a primary race for township supervisor and a $.005 sales-tax increase ballot question. The tax question will probably draw a lot of voters, since the village proposes to use the funds generated to offset property-tax assessments, dollar for dollar.

3. I only had one contested race on the ballot.

I mentioned before, I was kinda disappointed that my race wasn't on the ballot, but they had just enough Democrats running at large in the race, including me, so why waste ink, I guess. So I voted for Highway Commissioner, and that was it. I only get to vote for myself in April. :D
