AAR Station WCPT In Chicago Is Apologizing For Cutting Randi's Show....
to a half-hour. The explanation has to do with the FCC telling them when to sign on in the a.m. and sign off in the p.m. This time they have to sign off at 5:30pm CST. This leaves only a 1/2 hour of Randi's show. With her 'bounce your boobies' lead in on Friday's and the apology/explanation by WCPT and commercials - we are treated to only about 15 minutes of Randi.

The FCC works for *Co and they don't want the Chicago Area Mkt to know the truth. So they are putting the screws to WCPT. If WCPT were smart they should switch Randi with Ed Schultz. Ed's just 'ok' but Randi is both knowledgeable and passionate.

Please call, write or e-mail WCPT to trade Randi for Ed Schultz or better yet - what can we do to get WCPT signal stronger and have longer broadcasting hours? Any ideas?

1. get rid of ed schultz, he's good, but...

2. doesn't 560am have the same ownership ??, switch stations by putting that kkkrap on a daytime only, and doing aar 24/7 would be much, much better

2. unfortunately 560am is not the same owners.
CPT is actually owned by dems which is good for us because it's not clear channel like most of Air American stations. 560am is a far rightwing nutbag station owned by looneys or greedy people. I have heard however that CPT gets better ratings than 560 even tho they have a much weaker signal. If you want to hear Randi after she goes off CPT and it gets dark try 1530am from Cinncinati. Depending on the weather, I can hear it fairly well in my car.

3. wtf?
man, i cannot believe how hard it has been to listen here. i am not an ed fan. randi is where it is at, if you are up on what is happening at all. i couldn't believe he spent half his show the other day debating legalizing marijuana. especially when you have jerry springer, who is really at the same level. same lukewarm, let's not scare the sheeple, pat them on the head kind of programming. jeez.

4. The same people who own WCPT own three FM stations in Chicago
All three stations simulcast the exact same music all day (they go by the name "The Nines")

Why not convert one of those stations to be a sister station fro WCPT, giving AAR an AM and FM outlet in Chicago.
