The Indy Artists' Peace Project presents;
"THE INDY PEACE-ART FESTIVAL": SATURDAY, AUGUST 7 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. @ THE GLENDALE BRANCH LIBRARY (6101 N. Keystone Ave., Indianapolis - inside the Glendale Mall) FREE ADMISSION
"The Indy Peace-Art Festival" will incorporate music, poetry, storytelling, and visual art, with a strong message of peace, nonviolence, and reconciliation. Featuring live perfomances from local creative artists, including poets Jeff Matheus & J.L. Kato, singer/guitarist Marq Johansen, storyteller Khabir Shareef, and classical guitarist Dan Henkel. There will be multi-media visual art on display from Dean & Lisa Habegger, and a special peace message from Ryan Ahlgrim, pastor of First Mennonite Church of Indianapolis. Also, info booths for local peace & justice groups, and free massage courtesy of New Age People. All ages welcome. FREE admission for all, but donations will be accepted.
