A woman who identified herself as being from the Governor's CAMPAIGN Office called several Indiana University Departments yesterday to inform them that the Governor would be tailgaiting at the IU/Ohio State game and to ask if some IU entity would send out e-mails to promote it. No e-mail ended up being sent, but I'm told that the information was included in an IU press release with other information about gameday. It was on the front page of the Bloomington Herald-Times today.
"Gov. Mitch Daniels' hat will read 'IU Dad,' and he'll be feeding a big family. Free burgers and hot dogs will be served at his RV1 tailgaiting site at 8 A.M. Saturday at Memorial Stadium's Blue Lot."
If anyone drops by for free hot dogs & burgers at 8 a.m. (yum) -- be sure to ask him why he appointed a corporate criminal as an IU truseee.
...and, yes... this event was organized by his CAMPAIGN office. Hadn't he better let 2008 get a little closer before he starts worrying about re-election?
